There are problems that do not belong neatly to any one profession, discipline or explanation. They may have resisted serious attempts to resolve them, moved between experts without getting anywhere, or be so unusual that finding someone prepared to become involved has become part of the problem.
My practice is for those situations.
Private Cases
People do not need to arrive knowing exactly what they are dealing with. Very different causes can look remarkably similar from the outside. Something apparently extraordinary can prove entirely ordinary, while something treated conventionally for years may have a cause that has never been considered.
The problems themselves vary considerably. They may concern something deeply personal that refuses to shift, a home or land where something is wrong, a problem affecting a child or family, or an experience that sits completely outside the client’s understanding of the world.
For some clients, reaching this practice follows a long succession of consultations; for others, it follows the much stranger experience of discovering that nobody is willing to consult at all. They may have approached the medical system, the Church or another professional only to find that what is happening falls outside the scope being offered.
I am listening. I am taking you seriously.
The circumstances may be unusual but the work is remarkably normal in its execution. There is no theatre around any case and no advantage in being anything other than efficient. The purpose is practical: deal with the problem effectively and allow life to become normal again.
Expertise
For ten years, my private practice has taken me into situations that demand considerable judgement, discretion and an ability to work comfortably beyond the boundaries of a single profession. This is supported by a professional background working directly with some of the most challenging behaviour and sensitive circumstances, with adults and young people in both institutional and private settings.
The practice is international and cross-cultural. Clients include lawyers, hedge fund managers, teachers, business owners, families and people from a wide range of professional, social and cultural backgrounds. The work itself is equally varied, from intensely personal problems affecting one individual or family to situations involving homes, land and circumstances that require intervention well beyond a consultation room.
Much of the practice has grown through personal recommendation. Clients are also referred by their psychologists, doctors and clergy when another kind of expertise is required.
Private & Discreet
Discretion is fundamental to my practice. Cases are handled privately and with the same composure and professionalism regardless of how unusual the circumstances may be.
Private retainers are available for clients who require continuing access to my expertise.
Enquiries
Cases are considered individually. I have dealt with things that sound unbelievable when you write them down, but it is just a Tuesday to me.
I come into the situation, resolve the problem and leave. Occasionally a situation requires longer involvement, and that is available where necessary.
